Let's get down to it - What's trending for 2019?

Updated: Jan 6, 2019

The main thing we all want to know is what will be in style for our marital year - so what is trending for 2019?

A very Happy New Year from us all at SJP Bridal, it feels like many moons ago since we attended the fabulous Harrogate wedding show and had the visual pleasure of witnessing some amazing designs, treading the catwalk.

So what is trending?

The 'Meghan' effect is here to stay, after the beautiful Meghan Markle adorned us in simplicity at its finest, look out for silk, crepe and clean cut lines, perfect for the no fuss bride.

Lace, lace oh lace, oh lace, has been here for years and has no intentions on leaving us for 2019/2020, however for the brides who have been to vast amount of weddings or those of you who think lace is tired. Do not give up, because the designers have revamped lace and modernised this timeless fabric - no granny's net curtains here!

The ballgown!!

Now that doesn't mean you have to embrace your inner Cinders but for those of you who do here is what you are in store for. It is all about the texture of the dresses, full skirts, dresses to flatter every body type with added drama and what we love best at SJP Bridal the modern twist!

For the fashion forward high end brides its all about a bow

This is the mini trend that we are all loving, whether it be a huge bow at the back of your dress or a simple one on your neck, shoulder or waist, be prepared to see a lot in the future.

The plunge - for the fearless bride - who dares to be bold. The plunge can be done elegantly you wont have to scare Granny or blind her for that matter. With the choice of an illusion panel to keep the material together or without the plunge is your statement piece for 2019
